I’m having a pity party. You aren’t invited.

This is how I feel... prickly and broken

This is an echidna, a short-beaked echidna, native of Australia.  It’s a member of the Monotreme family – the only mammals known to lay eggs.  There are two others, the long-beaked echidna found in New Guinea. The only one you’ve probably heard of is the duck-billed platypus, also from Australia.

Anyway, this is how I feel.  Prickly, helpless, and broken.

Tried to sound out my physical therapist today.  Not about when I’ll be walking, and out of the wheelchair.  But about something I thought was achievable pretty soon, using a recumbent bicycle.  But the answer, while very vague, was very much of the don’t hold your breath variety.

So I’m sitting here, not holding my breath.  But feeling very sad.

Googled photos of cute animals with broken feet, hence the poor little echidna.

Now I have a sadness induced headache.  So I guess that means I’m screwed top to bottom.
